Common questions
I got a new phone and my hides are gone. Open About → Account and sign in with Apple or Google. If you attached one of those to your account before, everything comes back: your username, your friends, your groups and your hides. If you never signed in, an account only lives on the device that made it, so there is nothing for us to restore. Signing in now protects you from this happening next time.
How do I play a friend's hide? Three ways. They can send you their hide directly if you are friends in the app; it then appears on your Friends page. They can share it with a group you are both in. Or they can send you the hide's 4-letter code, which you type into the box on the home screen and tap Seek.
How do I add a friend? Open Friends, choose a username, and add them by theirs. Usernames are how players find each other; there are no phone numbers or email addresses involved.
I only got one guess. That is the game. One tap per hide, so a hide is worth taking seriously. If you miss, you can reveal where the character was hiding.
Can I change a hide after I have made it? Yes. My Hides → tap the hide → Edit. Repaint it, move the character, then Save. Everyone you shared it with sees the new version. A hide that was in the public gallery goes back for review before it appears there again.
How do I get my hide into the public gallery? My Hides → Share publicly. A person reviews every submission before it is published, so it will not appear immediately. We may decline a submission, and editing an already-published hide sends it back for review. What we look for is in Public hide rules below.
Someone posted something they shouldn't have. Tap Report on the Seek screen or in the hide viewer. Report & block also hides everything from that player, permanently. Every report is read by a person, and we remove violating content and may suspend or ban the player within 24 hours. A hide reported by several different players is hidden automatically while it waits for that review.
How do I delete my account? About → Account → Delete my account. It removes your username, profile picture, friends, groups, hides and the account itself, straight away and permanently. You do not need to be signed in with Apple or Google to use it. Full detail is on the Delete your data page.
Is the app in my language? It is available in 11 languages and follows your device automatically. You can also choose one yourself in About → Language.
Do I need an account to play? No. The app works completely without one. Apple and Google sign-in exist only so your account survives a lost or replaced device, and they unlock nothing else.
Public hide rules
Anything you share with friends or a group only has to follow the community rules in the app. A hide submitted to the public gallery is seen by strangers of every age, so it has to clear a higher bar as well. A person checks every submission against these four points. You can read the same list in the app, under Public Hides → Rules.
1. No single-color hides. We don't accept hides in which the character is placed in a region of solid color then painted entirely that color so that they become effectively invisible.
2. Family friendly. No violence, nudity, or profanity.
3. No cluttered phone screenshots. Avoid screenshots that are visually busy with menus, navigation tools, and text.
4. No excessive branding. Images that prominently display a specific brand are subject to greater scrutiny.
A hide we decline stays in My Hides and is still yours to play and share privately. You can edit it and submit it again. Editing a hide that is already in the gallery sends it back for review.
